Today was an amazing day for CollegeKidApp, so spectacular in fact that I don't even know where to begin. I figure I'll post a few screen shots and then give short comments on what we experienced, then I'm off to bed.
When we started the day, we were pretty much just happy to be released into the App Store. It was Battery Go!'s first full day in the store, so we really didn't know what to expect.
Later on in the afternoon, one of our first reviews by a website was posted when PC Magazine posted their article on the application. They were extremely positive on our app and we soon found that our article was one of their most popular stories of the day.
So imagine our surprise when we saw that their article on Battery Go! had reached Google News! For a good chunk of time this information, you could find the story about our app when you checked out the Sci/Tech stories in the USA. This was a pretty neat thing for us to check out and we kept tabs on it all afternoon.
As the day has come to a close, we've seen Battery Go! skyrocket to the 8th position for top paid utilities in the iTunes App Store. This is amazing for us and way further than we ever imagined seeing the application in it's lifetime, let alone in it's first 24 hours. I'll be completely honest, I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings after the roller coaster ride that was today. For now though, I'm off to bed and recoup some of the sleep I lost last night while dreaming of iPhones.
